A Touch of Crazy

After a conversation with my Grandma this weekend, I've decided to once again attempt a half-marathon.

This is not as scary as it sounds, as I'll be walking, not running. It appears I have a personality conflict with running. I last approximately sixty seconds before keeling over and begging for mercy. Is it my general fitness level, or just the fact that my lungs do not take well to running? I'm unsure as of now, but perhaps I'll know better after October.

As of now, I'm planning for the Hood River marathon at the end of October. It should be a gorgeous route and I need that kind of encouragement. The trouble I found last time, however, was that I just couldn't convince myself to walk as much as I need to in order to prepare myself to walk 13 miles at a stretch.

So I found a handy dandy schedule:

And I put it on my G calendar. And if it's on my G calendar, I have to follow through. Right?

Maybe not. But if I have to write about it, I sure will.
