First of all, let's all say thank you to Aunt Amy for giving me something else to get fired up about...reading about killing the electric car doesn't exactly help my disdain for ExxonMobil. I just can't bite my tongue about that, and sometimes it gets B and I into arguments. I really don't understand. He's all about alternative energy and knocking it off about the big cars, or even not driving as much, but then he's willing to accept an offer at XOM. Everything about that seems off to me. Anyway, if you're interested click the title.
This morning I biked. I love it. I really do. I can't wait to get my helmet so I can bike more. It only takes about 7 minutes to get to work, which is 2-3 minutes more than usual. Of course, it also involves shoes and hair change when I get here, but all in all it's about 5 minutes more. Why not, I say, as long as it's not pouring.
This morning I also started reading The Way We Eat, a book about food choices. Already I can tell that I'm going to love this book and want to pass it out to everyone I meet. Once again, it's a book that I wish that I could write. More to inspire me, I suppose.
Today Vanessa and I are headed out to get massages as a reward for our record-setting year. We're going to Columbus, having lunch and then heading out to pick out fancy pens for our research work. Then it's an hour-long massage and a shortened day, oh yay. And more happy-hour research tonight, centered on Mugshots which is right down the road and serves an amazing chicken sandwich, mostly due to the bread which is a sweetish sourdough. Oh, the tummy is rumbling already.
