Changes to the Great Cookie Giveaway

So the more I thought about the cookies that I wanted to create, the more I realized that I wasn't just looking for a sugar replacement--after all, there's no way I'm using Splenda or whatever those new types of "natural sweetners" are. Instead, I'm seeking a cookie that's not built primarily on white flour and white sugar.

So the cookies I'll be sending out are ones where the flavoring comes through. They won't be hyper sweet, but they will have a bit of sugar in them. They'll also have honey, or pumpkin, or cherry, or ginger. I'm limiting the sugar to one cup for a 3 dozen patch--many recipes have double this. Your cookies will likely also have whole wheat pastry flour, or even spelt flour.

And...here's an intriguing teaser...please let me know if you are vegetarian, or you don't eat pork...

I love your sense of food. I respect your willingness to tweak the norm into so much more. I accept that I may be biased. Pork does not belong with cookies. Period exclamation point. My heart hurts just thinking about that combo.

I don't like to eat pork or most meats... but I'll eat both if it's a gift. :)
